Writing tools: concentration timer

by Matthew Stibbe on January 24, 2009

image With many thanks to Peter McArthur, I now have a web-based version of the meditation timer I talked about earlier this week.

Why is this good? It’s free. It’s available online anywhere you have access to the web. Further experimentation has shown it to be a very good way of resetting your concentration back onto your work.

It’s on my business website (so I can host the Javascript and audio properly). Here’s the link: www.articulatemarketing.com/tools.htm.

My speakers leave a bit to be desired and I don’t yet have an iphone… but the 15 minute sound isn’t bad.

I tend to turn of radio and everything and just write… 40 minutes to an hour gets a ton done… the gong might get me to get up and stretch.
