I think this would help me concentrate and not get irritated with my clients.

In a similar vein, my wife bought me a little sign at the San Francisco Zen Center last week. It reads: “Don’t just do something, sit there.” I have hung it up on my lamp next to my monitor.

I can’t say enough good things about the Buddha Machine – I actually thought about legally changing my name to “The Buddha Machine” but backed down once I received threats from my significant other. :)

In all seriousness though, it’s an interesting device since it provides some nice background noise and is a good conversation piece. :) It also picks up text messages and phone calls just before your cell phone rings if they’re in close proximity to each other, but I don’t think that was supposed to be a feature.

Nice blog by the way! I remember coming across it back in the day after you had posted about using ear plugs to help you get things done – it’s something I’ve been doing for a while now to help me concentrate and sleep.
