Street poetry

by Matthew Stibbe on July 12, 2006

I enjoy words and my favourite kind of words are the ones that say one thing but mean another. I take a lot of pictures of what I call ‘street poetry’ where official or unofficial writing in public spaces has this ironic twist. Here are a few of those photos from my stay in San Francisco. I got stopped by a policeman who couldn’t understand why I was taking pictures of street signs.

Wonderful photos! And from my hometown no less!. Makes me homesick for the fun and entertaining streets of San Francisco.

Thanks for sharing!
