Pick of the web
- Urban Etiquette. How to behave in the city - a funny but sort of serious article.
- Airships on the fly. I’m working on a article about Zeppelins and I came across this - there are more airships out there than you think.
- Also, I wrote a piece about high altitude airships called the 12-mile high club which is on ModernPilot.com.
- I use Basecamp to run the Articulate client extranet. It’s very cool but I found out about a free, open-source alternative yesterday called ActiveCollab which I want to check out.
- SiteMorse is a great service that automatically checks for site availability, broken links, accessibility and standards-compliance. It’s very comprehensive and I use it with a couple of the professional sites I manage for clients. I also use it to monitor this blog and ModernPilot.com.
- Bullfighter. A PC program that puts a Bull meter into Word and PowerPoint to tell you how much jargon you’re using. I’ve just installed this and I’ll write a full report soon.
- The Future of Futurism in Slate. Apparently the future isn’t what it used to be but at least Futurama is coming back. Even Nostradamus didn’t predict that.

Bullfighter sounds like something I could recommend to all my clients! Unfortunately, the link is broken. Could you check, please?

[...] I mentioned Bullfighter a few weeks ago in a ‘pick of the web‘ post. I’ve now had a chance to use it properly on a 6,500 technical white paper and I can review it properly. [...]
