Lizzy, Darcy & Jane – new show about Jane Austen
Anyone interested in writing will enjoy my wife’s new play, Lizzy, Darcy & Jane. It tells the story of how Jane Austen created Pride and Prejudice. Aileen (my wife) plays Jane and her co-producer at C Company, Susan Bracken, plays Elizabeth Bennet. It’s a great new play and an interesting insight into the mind of a writer. Here’s the official blurb…
When Jane falls in love with the perfect man, she finds in herself the perfect woman – meet Elizabeth Bennet. When her real-life romance sours, she sentences Elizabeth and herself to marriages of duty. Darcy may save Lizzy but only the author can save herself.

Is there a video feed or is it online? San Francisco is a bit far away and it sounds delightful….or perhaps the script–and then I can read it!

They may put a video up on YouTube after the show has run its course. They did this for the Oscar Wilde shows they did last year. (See http://www.ccompany.cc).
