Is a stupidity filter even possible?

The StupidFilter Project plans to create a filter that will do for idiotic online content what spam filters do for junk mail.

You can’t download it yet and I wonder whether it is a bit of a spoof.  We’ll see. 

But I like their chutzpah, whether it is a fake or not.  Here’s an excerpt from their FAQ:

Isn’t filtering stupidity elitist?
Yes. Yes, it is. That’s sort of the whole point.

    Of course, their next step it to start filtering for corporatespeak…

    That’s funny. I wonder if they’ll allow user-created filters. Imagine an internet where you can filter out words you don’t like to read.
