Chris Crawford, game design legend and personal hero, has released Storytron. This website lets people create dynamic, interactive stories. You can already play “Balance of Power: 21st Century” and see how you would do as president. It’s surprisingly fun and very, very clever.

Oh crumbs! I accidentally invaded Iraq and Afghanistan at the same time. Now what?

Me too. I thought ‘how hard can it be to do a better job than George Bush’ but actually I did a lot worse! Mind you when I played Chris’s old Balance of Power game I regularly ended up with global thermonuclear war (and not the fun kind, either) so I guess a futile, two-front war which destroys all my standing in the world is probably an improvement.
