Stuur me een e-mail!

I don’t speak or read dutch. But just wanted to say thanks. I recently started a blog to share the “oddities” of my life and I look at you website a lot for direction and tips.
Thanks for the kind words. I’m glad you like the blog. I’ll be back to English soon!
Hi, Matthew,
Although I don’t know any Dutch except a few conversational phrases, I can half understand your Dutch. German helps.
I stumbled into your fine blog a couple of weeks ago. I wish I explored your blog earlier. I enjoy your posts a lot. Thanks for the wonderful works!
By the way, how many languages do you speak? : )
Regards,
Justin
Hi Justin – thanks for the comment and for visiting Bad Language. I speak schoolboy French, a tiny amount of German (just enough to confuse me now I’m learning Dutch) and I spent five years studying Latin but, of course, I can’t speak a word of it. All that was at school but now I’m trying to learn Dutch.
I realize that it is a little late now to scribble something here, but I was so infinitly charmed by your Dutch, I just had to! Amsterdam is one of the coziest block-buster cities I know of, so I’m sure you had a lot of fun there.
You speaking Dutch would probably be even cuter, but perhaps that’s a bit unappropriate for me, a stranger, to say.
So, ‘na veel vijven en zessen’ (which is a Dutch proverb), meaning: after a lot of unnecessary chit-chat, I’ll leave you alone.
Good luck with your studies, you’ll need it!
