Cool stuff I found online this week

by Matthew Stibbe on November 19, 2009

1. Awesome t-shirt for typography fanboys from Collapse Design.

T-shirt slogan says "sex, drugs, Helvetica bold"

2. Fantastic treehouse office and blog (hat tip: Lifehacker)

Interior of the office with nice view of trees

3. Complete guide to Google Wave. I’m on Wave (matthew.stibbe@googlewave.com). Wave me and tell me why I should be using it.

4. Lord of the Rings timeline. I’m such a geek but I love it. I expect Edward Tufte to be writing about it any day now.

5. Disgruntled Toronto Star editor edits the press release announcing his firing. It’s not exactly poetic revenge but it is poetic sarcasm. (Hat tipping towards Boing Boing.)

6. Saturn’s Children by Charlie Stross. Well, technically I didn’t find this online this week. I read it earlier this year and totally loved it. But I’m mentioning it now because the author left a comment on my blog today. I totally collapsed in a drooling heap of fanboy star-dazzle. After sitting next to Amy Winehouse at dinner on Tuesday night, this week is filling up with incident. Anyhow, the basic plot line is: Robots shall inherit the universe. And then have sex. Why do you even want to resurrect humans? Go read it. It’s very good.
