AMEN! I refuse even to read any blog entry that’s posted to participate in the “100 things about me” or any other chain letter garbage - by whatever name it’s called. Thank you, Matthew, for your stance on this.

Congratulations, you had the courage to stand up and say “no” to those vicious chain mail memes flying around the blogosphere! Way to go, Matt, you’re my hero.

I just hope you don’t grow a third arm or something…

Really, it’s like those “100 things about me” posts you see a lot of to mark the first 100 days or first 100 posts to their blog. Good gosh, I’m a total stranger - why should I care? When I hit my 100th post, I just said “no” to that, too. (Sorry about the gratuitous self-promotion; my cat made me do it.)

It brings to mind John Koetsier’s post today on a recent study that seems to illustrate how so many people are sharing astoundingly inappropriate information on the internet - and eveyone’s OK with it! Amazing.
